After several unsuccessful investments, three Brazilian professional investors, Paulo Lemann, Marcel Telles, and Alberto Sicupira, purchased the local Brahma beverage company in 1989. By investing in the world's leading food brands, the trio built one of the world's food and beverage empires in less than ten years. They acquired Interbrew in Europe, Anheuser-Busch in the United States, and Modelo in Mexico between 1989 and 1999. Following the success of these investments, they decided to form the Tri-Capital financing company for professional capital management. After 2010, they purchased the Kraft supermarket chain and the Heinz condiment factory. With professionalism and sound investment decisions, these investors were able to capture a quarter of the global beverage market in 20 years and establish a professional parent investment company.
